MIDI Liminal is a one-person music project, and this page says what this site collects, where it goes and how to have it removed. Questions go to hello@midiliminal.space, and I answer them myself.
What this site collects
Two things: your email address and the time you signed up. For people who signed up before 1 October 2026 it also holds whether they asked for Discord access, back when the form asked. The form does not ask any more.
That is all of it. This page sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no tracking scripts, and shows no ads. Its fonts and images are served from this site, so loading this page contacts nobody else.
What it is used for
The list tells you about MIDI Liminal releases and the site launch. Apart from the one confirmation email described below, nothing else is sent.
I use your address because you gave it to me for this, and for no other reason. You can take that permission back at any time, and the next two sections say how.
Where it goes
Your address is kept in two places: this site's database, on hosting from Hostinger, and EmailOctopus, the service that sends the emails. Both hold it as my service providers, to store the list and to send the mail. It is never sold, and it is never passed to anyone beyond those two.
EmailOctopus sends you one confirmation email first. Until you click the link in it, you are not on the list.
The list is run from the United States, EmailOctopus is a company in the United Kingdom, and Hostinger runs the servers. So wherever you live, your address crosses a border to reach the list.
Hostinger keeps its own server logs, which include IP addresses, under its own policy. To slow down bots, the signup form also keeps a hashed copy of your IP address for ten minutes and then deletes it. It is never stored with your email.
How long it is kept
Until you leave. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that works in one click. To have your address deleted from both places, write to hello@midiliminal.space and it is gone within seven days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to hello@midiliminal.space.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union and think I have handled your information badly, you can complain to your data protection authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office. I would rather hear from you first.
What changes when the full site opens
The site opens fully on 23 October 2026, and it will not ask you to sign in with anything. If that ever changes, this page is rewritten before it does and the list is told.
Age
The mailing list is not for anyone under 13.
